Interested in Healthy Food for Your Family?
Do you ever wonder where your food comes from or if it’s safe and nutritious? Our neighborhood came together to address these questions. As Flushing CSA, we provide direct access to high-quality, organic, super-fresh food grown by local farmers.
Eat Smart & Invest in Our Local Farms!
CSA members purchase a “share” of food by paying a local farmer up-front in the spring. This investment brings us 26 weeks of just-picked vegetables and fruits during the harvest season – delivered directly from the farm to our neighborhood every Thursday, from May to November. This works out to about $22 a week – for up to 15 pounds of organic goodness!
Apply Now to Join Flushing CSA!
Membership forms are now available for Flushing CSA’s 2018 harvest season (25 weeks from May 31 to November 15). Flushing CSA members volunteer a minimum of four (4) hours during the season to help during share distribution, which occurs on a weekly basis (on Thursdays from 5:00 to 8:00 pm during the season) at the Flushing Town Hall, located at 137-35 Northern Boulevard in Flushing, New York. Flushing CSA members support our local farmers (Golden Earthworm or its partner certified organic farms) by sharing in the inherent risks of agriculture (poor weather, drought, disease, early frost, crop failure and so on) as well as the rewards (the bounty from a good season!). The basic share price for the 2018 season is $555.
